Why are Palestinians Victims
I, an Israeli, feel bad for the Palestinians Meet Wally Sparks movie full
No matter what your stance is on the Israel/Palestinian conflict, you would have to be stone hearted not to realize that the average Palestinian in Gaza suffers from these constant battles. The biggest reason has to be that those who purportedly speak for them or lead them have time and again betrayed them. From 1948 when the surrounding Arab countries went to war against the newly minted and internationally recognized State of Israel to destroy it, the Palestinians came out the losers.
Even worse, in 1967, again the Arab world led them to believe that their situation was about to improve and that Israel would be destroyed. Sure, Egypt lost Gaza and Jordan the West Bank that they had occupied, but the Palestinians lost almost everything.
The Arab world continued to perpetrate this issue supposedly on their behalf while keeping them locked down in “refugee camps” in Lebanon. Then came Arafat and his cronies. Sure, they kept the Palestinian issue alive in the media, but at what price.
After Oslo, Arafat came back to the territories. This is where the real abuse of the Palestinians began. While stealing their aid, he also launched the Intifada thus ensuring that their economy, which was based on work and trade with Israel was going to die. He fostered numerous competing “security” services and made the territories into armed camps. Building schools and hospitals was not on the agenda. It finally got so bad that Palestinians were willing to break the well known rule of “better the devil you know than the one you don’t” and elected Hamas. Hamas did put somewhat of an end to the lawlessness that had become Gaza, though it was mostly to assert full control. This of course also led to Palestinians killing Palestinians on a daily basis till the final orgy of killing that evicted Fatah from Gaza. Interestingly, Fatah members escaped to Israel to get away from Hamas.
Since Hamas came to power, there has been no effort on their part to better the lot of the Gazans in any way. All their efforts have gone to bringing in ever more explosives and weapons and digging a vast array of tunnels to smuggle weapons and to confront Israel. When Israel left Gaza, Hamas turned that area into a firing range, knowing full well and actually wishing for an eventual Israeli response. Israel responds, inevitably civilians are killed and wounded, Hamas has achieved their objective.
Unfortunately, in Gaza today, no Palestinian can speak out against Hamas without serious risk to their lives. So again, Palestinians are betrayed by their leaders. Even worse, they are now led from afar by Iran who has absolutely no interest in their well-being. All it wants is a destabilized warring region for numerous reasons that are well articulated elsewhere.
They look to the UN for help as well, but what does that create but a dependent society? Hamas works much like Hizbollah insofar as it seems that they do charitable work. However, there is a heavy price to pay for the aid received. A lifelong dependancy, support of terror, no freedom of thought, speech or religion, and certainly no political freedom.
Meanwhile they are allowing Hamas to poison the minds of their children to their death cult.
I know for sure that Israel has no intention of hurting in any way the average Palestinian. Its clear that Hamas and company don’t share the same desire. I do know that peace with Israel will provide way more benefits in all aspects of their lives than what Hamas offers them now.

Hi Naftali.
A long post with two and a half lines of human feeling and the rest a long political or propaganda rant.
I hope some day to come across a post by yourself that is the other way round, but if your heart cannot genuinely go out to your fellow man at a time like this then I have little hope of coming across a human rights based article by yourself.
All blood is Red,
Peter.

This really is unrelenting propoganda and not a real discussion. Should Amnesty give mossad this much space?
